I hope you know
how rare it is to find a group of musicians as good as the
Mar Dels. I've been
around long enough to know that your range, quality, consistency and true love
for what you do is very
rare in this business. I always know what I'm getting when I call and look
forward to the next gig.

| Hi Jeanice and Michelle,
The new amphitheater and hospitality center is going to be so
incredible. I might suggest the perfect entertainment for you to
consider in the future for some large event.
I've wanted to get a band called The Mar Dels from San Diego up here to
entertain for the longest time but there's never been the correct venue
before now (except for possibly the Meridian 4th of July celebration).
They may be too expensive to justify getting them up here, what with
travel expenses, etc. (We would happily provide rooms for two of the
band members.) As I said, they are called The Fabulous Mar Dels and if
they are still as good as they used to be, they provide the best
entertainment and best dancing you will ever experience. They would
make any band that's ever performed up here look like amateurs. Chuck
and I saw them fairly often when we lived in Del Mar and used to go to
Catalina every Valentine's weekend to see them in the Casino Ballroom.
They quit playing there some years ago and now play every New Year's
Eve at the ballroom in the Hotel Del Coronado but we've never been able
to go to that. They have a good following and if they played up here,
it might bring new people to the area for a weekend.

you have time. It looks like they are pretty booked up for the year,
and like I said they are probably expensive, but thought it wouldn't
hurt to suggest them. If you look through the photos and song lists,
you will see how extensive their repertoire is.
On another subject...we will let you know about the Luau. We really
want to come (and I'm pretty sure we will) and will let you know by May
1st. I know my Texas girlfriends would have a great time....you guys
are such good hosts! Talk to you soon.
